You’ll love our Akara! Our freshly fried Akara is similar to a fritter (Naija style) that has this mouthwatering light crispy outer texture and that heavenly taste it offers.

The Black-eyed beans which are rich in fibre are blended until airy smooth with a delicate touch of seasoning.

It doesn't stop there. Savoury with a kick from the fragrant scotch bonnet (ata rodo), and spring onions for a splash of colour (traditionally red onions).

Looking for a Nigerian vegan meal? You can trust down to our seasoning this meal is free from any meat granules. Our freshly fried akara is cooled down and frozen to lock in all the freshness ready for you to devour it.

No mistake, the simplicity of this dish is what has everyone coming for more.

Akara is best paired with that comforting smell of a warm Agege bread, making it a match made in heaven. Tearing that fluffy, soft, and sweet loaf apart with bare hands and both halves of that bread in one palm adding six or eight blobs of Akara, Oh yes! You are ready to chop life like the royal we are. All you have to do is to have a bite!

Peeled black eyed beans, onion, scotch bonnet, water, salt, rapeseed oil. Seasoning used contains salt, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), wheat starch, garlic 5.7%, maltodextrin, sugar, sunflower oil, onion 2%, spice, potato 0.5%, flavours (with wheat), colorant (E-101). We like to keep things simple, so we ship all your dishes frozen to keep them fresh & free from chemicals and preservatives.

They are packaged and insulated properly with commercial-grade denim insulation that perfectly regulates the temperature and keeps your dish cool for hours even if it’s left outside. There’s also ice packs in there to keep everything extra cool.

All orders will arrive at your door every Tuesday or Friday between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Our partners will also drop you an email or text 1 hour in advance to let you know that your parcel is arriving.

Currently out of the house? Don’t worry about it! Our planet-friendly insulated box can keep your food safe and chilled for hours! (Until 9:00 PM)

Make sure to inform our delivery partners on where you’d like your parcel to be left at.

We are a FAN
Tastes is great and reminds me of when my mum used to make these for us at home.
The only thing is that the spice level is a lot, hence the four-star rather than the five-star. Maybe this can be looked into as I know some may like the heat whereas others like myself and mum may need it a little less hot.
Just to say and add, this didn't stop us from buying two containers though (he, he). Thank you!

Wow wow wow
